Front left speaker don't work

Hello everybody

Since last week the front left speaker has stop to work. I tried to shift the balance but i didn't fix it.
Only the high frequencies are heard, the low ones ... no.
I removed the door panel to see if any wire was disconnected but all is fine.
Did any of you have such a thing ?
What do you advise me to do ?

Bit of a pain, but try swapping the speakers to see if it's a fault with the speaker or the output from the stereo.

Tomorrow i try to connect another speaker and see what happens

Your tutorials are always great !!
But how can i be sure that i have to change that component ?
Is there any test i need to do first ?

This happened to me, the speaker was faulty and I replaced it myself. Fairly straightforward job.

If you can only hear the high pitched notes the chances are that the main speaker has blown, there are only one set of cables going to both speakers in the door.

Try turning the radio on, then turn the volume knob down to minimum, then crank it up to maximum as quickly as possible. This seemed to fix my speaker when it stopped working by 'shocking' it back into life. Maybe worth a try before you start taking anything apart?

Update

Today i connected another speaker and it works perfectly ...... so the left speaker is definitely dead.
I also tried to resurrect it, with the technique recommended by " Blade Runner", but i didn't get any results.

Tomorrow i ask to the dealer to get me a new one

DON’T !!!!

Get a better set of speakers at a cheaper cost. There’s a thread on here somewhere if you have a quick google.
