Xbox One

I predominantly like:

Shooty MP games (FPS) so COD, BF etc
Post apocalyptic stuff and scary stuff so Dying Light (goddamit) WWZ, COD Zombies

Last COD I have is MW the recent one which i played a lot, all up to the current season but have skipped Cold War as I only wanted Zombies and I'm not paying £50 for that frown I tried Cyperpunk but I found it too repetitive plus there's the terrible framerate......

I did play a bit of Apex Legends but that got a bit dull after a while.

Any suggestions?

Have a go at Fallout 4?

It's not quite FPS, but worth a look I think.

Take a look at the Metro Exodus series of games. The books the games are based on are great too.

In the middle of another fallout 4 run through so I was about to recommend this

Bit of a time sink, 2 hours can go by with "Just one more mission" or hunting for one particular resource for a gun upgrade but it is fun

DayZ all day long. Such a massive, beautiful and utterly immersive game.

Plus, I have my own modded, extreme PvE server, which helps. smile

I've done Fallout. I know they've 'fixed 76 but I've played all of them and really enjoyed them.

Metro I've tried but I think it's because it's a PC port that the control mechanics I could not get along with, it felt like it was playing in treacle with the movement, no matter what I set it to?

I'll try Day Z, I didn't realise it was on console.

Rage 2?

Slightly silly, post-apoc, open world and shooty. It's not perhaps one of the all-time greats, but it's a lot of fun.

Agree with the above poster about the Metro games, have just played them through again and they are brilliant. You can set them up to be more survival based or more steam through with loads of ammo games, I prefer the latter!
Since finishing those I am now playing Assassins Creed Valhalla, never played an AC game before but Valhalla is properly good

Metro 2033 has unparalleled atmosphere. Although I played it in stealth sniper style, not sure if the firefights are fast-paced if you run and gun.

Not played DayZ for a long time... at the risk of thread derailment, how much has it changed in the past couple of years?

I'd be interested to know as well - not played for years!

I’ve been playing since Christmas 2019 when I got my XboxOne.

Spring 2020 Dayz became available through GamePass and almost overnight ‘official’ servers became a CoD-like experience, cram-packed with fully geared nobheads spawn camping the beaches. Since then I’ve stayed cleared of Official Servers.

Modded servers are great fun if you find the right server.

Mental PvP at NWAF or a chilled out, friendly extreme PvE, the choice is yours depending on the server.

On my server it’s a friendly, mature, polite, regular crowd, and there are many others like it. Idiots tend to get found out and banned pretty quickly.

I'm not very good at the chicken game. I looked at it immediately. I played again and just RPG'd it. F*ck that chicken.

I loved the Divisions. I could have sunk so much time into 2, but the raids could take over 2 hours depending on the skill matching, I didnt have that time I could guarantee with kids about...

I've been Googling a bit today and come across Zombie Army, I'm not sure how this passed me by......So I bould it cheap on ebay and will give that a whirl. Mainly for the MP as I do love a bit of L4D and Killing Floor.

DayZ doesn't really appeal that much as I'm a simple person and the survival side is all a bit maximum effort or me. Also Steam wants over £30 for a game that is it even out of Beta?

Outriders if you like third person shooter with some spell casting.
I find it more enjoyable than Destiny 2
