Not a fan of influencers, but nice car and a great reason not to be put off by mileage.

Started to sounded like a big plug for CC.

Certainly not a plug for CC, well, not why I gave Sam the keys to go for a blast!

It was great to have him down to document that car, as mentioned in another thread I've done 6000 odd since November now but a few previous owners frequent the forum and big respect to Roger who did the bulk of the miles (From 8000 - 150,000 between 2011-2017) with European business trips! Would be difficult to attain that on UK roads with CS spec, that's for sure!

It's a lovely car, there's more to come shortly with something the vast majority won't have seen before, which is very much a "wow" type response, not yet ready for release but certainly something a lot on this forum will possibly be interested in - regardless of if you own a Porsche or something from another manufacture..!

I'm just thoroughly enjoying the car and feel it deserves to be documented!

Saw this myself and wondered what it would fetch, about right for miles and paintwork. I was poised over the GT Silver with cage and buckets which was bought and then moved on Quick after the CC purchase. Was a lovely example just wondered why the quick sale ?

Believe the first purchaser had a Speedster (Or something of similar ilk) inbound, so it was purchased to enjoy - did 2-3000 miles, went through an OPC service and then went back up on CC - To be bought by a questionable dealer...

Loved the story good to see something different not just track day toys , sunny days & garage queens. I am the same I used my Clio V6 , M3 CSL and E30 M3 everyday when I had them but now with 3 kids under 5 years old NO toys for me at the mo but my wife is doing around 33k miles per year in the Q7 she loves it.

Shortly after it was sold at CC the second time, I saw a Twitter post by the new owner, with the photo of the car parked on the street (London?). The new owner is believed to be a (car?) journalist.

Then shortly after the car appears at the dealer.

Can’t find that Twitter post now :/

Well, what a turn up.
Many thanks to Jac for buying my old mate, getting in touch and commissioning this video.
So many memories. What the heck do I do now? I loved the GT3s so much. Both of them. Time for a 3rd one?...let’s see.

I think it would be rude not to Roger. wink

Great to see these being used. Too many people worry about racking mileage on these. but that is what they need.

My 997.2 GT3 is on 45k miles, of which 39k is me in 8.5 years. Vast majority of the miles are from Euro hoons.

Just love quick cars.
Currently besotted by my MCoupe. That is, the Z variety!

Would rather be in France than UK, but my main business is based here.

At least I own it and can use the Coupe very day!

M Coupe now gone. 996 GT3 also now gone after 180,000 very loyal miles.
Now with 997 GT3 (2007). What a car!

And now thats gone too!. a mere babe at 148,000 happy and trauma free miles.

Next up. 2012 Jag XKR-S
Bit of a beast!
So went for something quiet and economical instead this time.

Afternoon all. Nice to see 3 of us owners of the car here! How's it going Roger? I've now got terrible seller's remorse seeing the vid and also having a sneaky peak at what Jacques has been up to!

It's all a very small world. When I saw the GT3 advertised on AT when I was looking, I showed it to a work colleague when we were having a work meeting in the Punch and Judy in Covent Garden and he says isn't that Roger's old car? And it was. I loved my ownership, I used it mostly for my weekly commute from down south to ooop norf. Even on the M1 it was a delight and an event to be in.

I'm going to dabble in the L world next, but still got my 911 fix going with my 69T which is currently having a 2.4S MFI motor put in. All very wrong in terms of what goes with what, but it's a bit of a bitsa anyway. So now it'll be a bitsa with 190bhp!
