I've just replaced my trust 2014 MBP with a new MBA M1 and forgot that it's a USB-C future.

What cable adaptor do I need to run a Dell UltraSharp 25 Monitor "U2515H" in clamshell mode with minimal quality loss? Amazon is bringing up lots of options, but conflicting info or iffy reviews.

Monitor connectivity:

2 HDMI(MHL) connector
1 Mini DisplayPort
1 DisplayPort (version 1.2)
1 DisplayPort out (MST)
1 Audio Line out (connect your speakers)
5 USB 3.0 ports - Downstream (4 at the back, 1 with battery charging)
1 USB 3.0 port - Upstream

Use one of these on my desk at home

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07Q3HP6KQ/ref...

It will allow you to connect to the monitor VIA HDMI, it will also give you 2x USB3 ports and SD card reader and a LAN port. I have the monitor and webcam running through this and it works really well.

When I am out on the road (LOL) visiting customers I have something similar to this

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Adapter-Syntech-Thunderbo...

It will allow you to plug into a TV/projector using HDMI, its also a small and cheap option.

You will also need a HDMI cable to go from either adaptor to the monitor unless you already have one.
