Is there any members on here who can recommend a business broker to help sell my company?

It is currently advertised with another broker however after paying a fee upfront I feel very little has been done and now I am coming to the end of the contract I can look elsewhere.

I would prefer a straight talking broker not a sales man who's going to tell me its worth XX amount more than it is and there is plenty of people willing to pay it!

Also ideally a no/small initial fee, I paid a fee upfront with my current broker which has gone down the pan so I would like to avoid this if possible.

Any help would be appreciated as after speaking with some other brokers valuations seem to vary a lot!

What sector ? I had a very good experience with FE international, but they specialise in online.

I’ve used a couple of brokers and neither charged an upfront fee? So it is possible. Personally I avoid upfront fee model as a general rule when using any kind of broker. But I don’t have any experience of fee charging brokers to compare to be fair.

Online retail so that could be handy, we are only a smaller set up (T/O 500k so not sure if some of the bigger guys would have enough meat on the bone)?

The problem I am seeing is some brokers base it 100% on the black and white figures (EBITDA) and dont take anything in to consideration, others look at the bigger picture and the potential we have, the awards we have won in our sector and niche contracts so I dont know which way to turn or who is correct!

I’ve used and know of others that use Knightsbridge in Bolton / cheap and legals included. I’ll be using them again

Op I'm in that industry....

www.capeq.co.uk

I couldn't suggest that you use us as are business model works on larger clients and so We would be far too expensive for you. we do have some specialisation in SAAS and ecom so can offer some help though.

If it would be of any use I would be happy to chat through where you've been and whats currently happening as well as what you should expect from your money? I'm happy also to give you some pointers on a DIY basis if that would help?

Absolutely on a totally no charge basis, pro bono for a pher....
