X3 M40i seat and other questions

I've been offered a great deal on a new X3 M40i but have slight concerns about the optional extra M Sport Front Seats as I've just pulled out on a Macan Turbo as the side bolsters on the bottom part dug into my leg and caused quite a lot of discomfort.

I can test drive an M40i but it's a 2018 model and has the 'regular' seats and not the optional extra M Sport ones, can someone explain what the difference is and whether the bolsters are bigger on the M Sport Seats please? Unfortunately you can't spec the adaptive suspension without having the M sports seats too.

Are there any differences between the 2018 and 2021 models? Am I right in thinking the seats changed late 2020?

Apart from the type of leather and the stitching pattern are the M40i M sports seats the same as the X3M seats as I may be able to try one of those.

Lastly, does having the sunroof alter headroom at all?
