Nokia 8800

What’s going on with this phone? The “coming soon” tag has been removed from the Nokia website so I assume it’s now released. However I have checked on O2, T-Mobile, Vodaphone and Orange’s websites and none of them are offering it yet. When I spoke to Orange about it about a month ago they’d never even heard of the model. I know Orange is a bit slow getting new handsets out but I’d have thought at least one of the others would have it available by now. Does anyone know if/when it’s available?

Nice phone - my wife got one on Vodafone from CPW last week. Supplied with 2 batteries and the crade charges the phone and spare at the same time.

CPW loyalty dept. generally give her line rental credits to the value of the phone so that it's effectively free.
In this case they told her hat the best they could do it for was £160 and that they were only getting 250 initially.

Joke in our house is that it's a pikey version of a Vertu !

Mate of mine got on on Vodafone anytime 350, new connection, handset cost £94. Beleive he got a few months half price line rental as well. This was the absolute the best deal available as of a week ago(he took long enough to find it). Not sure if anyone can beat it yet?

I think this was through mobile phones direct website? (no connection blah blah)

I've had one for the last two weeks and i paid £200 for it.
Damn it if i could have found it cheaper i would have done, grr, thought it was only out on O2.
Ah well.

I'd love a phone like that, but I tend to drop mine at least once a week, and it would end up looking like an old well-used hip flask.
