Hi all, I have a 62 plate A6 Avant which has a problem with the front passenger side window. It started a while back where it was very sporadic to control it up or down via the drivers side door. Now its got to the stage where either driver side or passenger side window button will allow the passenger window to go down but not up again. I replaced the block of 4 window switches on the drivers door which seemed to help the issue for a while but its come back. Today I had to take the door card off the passenger door as the window was stuck open, I took the regulator off the door to check it and while pressing the window button (while it was off the door) the motor only goes in 1 direction and not the other. I tested the regulator by reversing the wires and it does go the other way so I’d say the motor is OK. So something electronic is preventing the motor from raising the window up while using the passenger or driver window button. I’m thinking that perhaps the driver control unit on the passenger door is faulty? That looks like fun to get that off the door!

Any thoughts or advice anyone can provide here would be a great help

Cheers
John
