Has anyone got any recent experience of using On.to?

I signed up for an On.to subscription earlier this week for the e 208, likely just for a few months through summer and then we’ll go back down to 1 car.

There doesn’t seem to be anything recent on PH about them, only posts from 2020 on the old Evezy thread.

On paper it all looks great, but I’m keen to hear first hand from users of what they’ve found when using them.

I was with Onto until last month when I bought my own EV. I had three cars (M3, Zoe and I3) from them over a year and had no problems at all. In the last month they have changed their system to allow you to have the physical key in addition to the app. I found the app very convenient to the point that i now dislike having to carry a big fob around for my own car. Back in January they gave out a second set of charger RFID cards so you now get BP and Shell network charging for free. They also seem to have sorted out their handling contractor who had been overly enthusiastic with damage inspections on some cars. Again mine went back without any issues and I even had a call a couple of days later to confirm that there were no issues on inspection and to thank me for returning it in good condition. I took out excess insurance with insurance4carhire but never had to use it.

Been running cars from them since April 2019. First an ii3 and now Model 3. Never had any issues, their customer services have been great for any queries etc.

Prices have risen in the past 12 months but fortunately fir us existing subscribers keep cars at original rates which I've been impressed by for company that doesn't expect a long commitment from you. They've also recently announced all cars sill come with physical keys rather than just phone app access which is also great news.

Thanks for the replies.

The physical key point is good to note, as is the more relaxed attitude to damage at returns. I’ve leased countless cars and never had a charge at the end so keen to keep that going.

Nice work re. getting in early, especially with the old M3 prices. Seems like they were not much more than the e208 is now.

Thanks for the link Danp. I’d read up on that forum but didn’t see the specific e208 section or onto thread.
