Yep, had the usual monthly email / message within eBay too.
From memory of reading one of the old emails, about the eBay direct payment handling changes coming in by the end of May, it did suggest that if you hadn't correctly linked your bank account details to receive payments that buying & selling promotions may no longer be available / sent to you.

I've sold a bit on eBay lately, those offers make quite a difference to the amount received when you're selling a few items.
I prepare an ad for something I want rid of, and keep the ad saved as Draft. Then when the £1 offer comes in (monthly or thereabouts), I just activate it and then finish off the Draft. I'm about £60 up on ebay final value fees over the last 3 months so it's worth waiting for.

Aren't they doing away with Paypal too? Talk about another shoot yourself in the foot moment. I know several people who are now looking at different options before it comes in.
I was also told Ebay will likely hike up its fees too, inc to private sellers.
If only they'd leave stuff alone.

They have brought in managed payments now as eBay call it, I have moved over as I run a small part time business on eBay. Theres lots of people who talk about looking for alternatives but unfortunately the alternatives are no where near as wide reaching as a rule, there are some niche ones such as Etsy and Vinted and then theres Gumtree and Facebook but if I was relying on Facebook and Gumtree I would have given up by now as the sales from those platforms are less than 1% of what eBay generates. I've got 2 accounts that have consistently been getting the promotions every 2 weeks for the past couple of years. It stopped about 2 months ago. Have had to use the wife's account to sell stuff now, she had the promotion this weekend and last weekend. Not sure why my accounts are suddenly missing out.

eBay is essentially moving itself to a business based retail platform, like Amazon, but will still allow private sellers to use the site if they wish to, albeit with slightly different fee rates. Although in most cases it appears the amounts will be pretty similar to what was charged under the old system when it was split between eBay's charges & Paypal's processing fee.
