Hello chaps and ladies I have a strange question for you all. I have had one of my cars insured through Adrian Flux for years. In November 2018 I put it into storage as I needed the space on the drive for one of my projects. In Aprill 2019 the insurance was due. Part of the storage fees covered the car completely so I left it. Fast forward April 2021 and a company called Stirling have been in contact through email and text telling me they are now the owners of Flux. I have taken out a policy with them. Today I have been sending them the usual bits and bobs declared mileage and suchforth. On calling them I seem to be getting mixed messages. Firstly when I was taking out the policy the girl claimed to know nothing about my car and its modifications. then when I said there was no point carrying on as I had only called them because they knew my car. She suddenly could see the specs of the car. Today I was told by a male who answered that Flux was a sister company but they had no access to any files from Flux. The whole reason I went with them was for ease of renewal and proof of no claims. Has anyone else been in the same boat???

My question should have read is there anyone who were with Flux now been moved to Stirling insurance??

Still with Flux, no problems.

Looking at both Flux and Sterling website, there is no mention on either of there being a link to the other company.

Sounds to me like a bit of cold calling from Stirling, who have just 'acquired' some data from Flux, and struck lucky with OP's call.

Sterling Insurance is owned by Covéa Group.
Adrian Flux isn't...

Stirling what, exactly?

Stirling van insurance is a trading name of the Adrian flux group, Stirling insurance services was an old trading name but isn't any longer and is registered against a different company on the FCA website (gerts insurance consultants) which is owned by David Flux who also is named as aprtner at Adrian flux ont he FCA website..

Thanks guys it does seem I have been mislead. The strange thing I don't understand is how did they know the list of modifications to my car?

Try phoning again and asking? Try to speak to a manager maybe?

I have finally got down to the truth!!! Flux Direct is now Stirling Insurance.I have just spoken to a lovely young lady who explained everything, She even sorted out my no claims history. Which all the other people I had spoken with seemed to have no access to the Flux database.
