Passat B6 3C2 Fob not working but can start the car.
Discussion
Hi
Does anyone know how to reprogram/resynchronize a Passat B6 3C2 3 button fob? It was working fine, locked my car then 5 minutes later I had to get something out of my car and none of the buttons work. I replaced the battery and still not working. The LED doesn't flash but the LED died ages ago and the fob was working for ages without the LED. The fob can start the car but not open any of the doors, the lock button doesn't seem to get a response either. I have found some instructions which doesn't seem to work, like using the plastic key to unlock and lock then hold the Unlock button down for a few seconds. No luck. Putting the good fob in the car to the pre-ignition point and holding the Unlock button for 5 seconds, no luck either.
In the 3.1 booklet of the manual there's mention about synchronisation on page 40 but no actual instructions.
I see on EBay there are some people who offer reprogramming services but they're all based down in Esses/London. Does anyone know of any near Edinburgh?
If anyone has any pointers or the official instructions, that would be greatly appreciated. Other than that I think a really expensive replacement from the dealer would be the only option.
Thanks
