Plug in Hybrid (PHEV) Chimaera?!?!

Well maybe in the loosest sense of the term, but I am sure some of my EV owning neighbours will be impressed! 
The previous owner had fitted a trickle charger to the car, and I plugged it in today to check it out.
As I have solar panels on the house and it's sunny, this means it's an Eco-charge; I can practically hear the polar bears and penguins cheering as it charges the 12V battery up!
