They have come down fast! Not sure of the need of 8k at 55" though but hell its progress, 5 year warranty too

Not bad I guess, if you could live with an IPS panel.

Well at 750 your not exactly talking a top tier TV not many people spend money on decent sets they just care about inches and pixels not how good they actually look

Why 8K when there is so little 4K out there? (just asking)

Cos it's something else to try get people to buy a new TV like 3d and curved screens.
There is pretty much no 8k content bar test clips and YouTube it's not like you can really game at 8k unless it's pong or maybe frogger

This. Personally I would add £200 to that and get the 55 Inch LG OLED John Lewis are currently selling

Forget about the 8K. This is a 55" LED with FALD and a 10bit panel, HDMI 2.1 on two inputs, and Dolby Vision for just £750. Is that inc or ex-VAT though? That's pretty good value.

It's still only a 50Hz panel, but what else is around at 55" or larger with FALD and a 10bit panel for £750?

Philips 65PUS8555? - nope
Samsung UE55AU9000? - nope
LG 55NANO756PA? - nope
Samsung UE70TU7100? - nope
Sony KD65X7052PBU? - nope
Hisense 65U7QFTUK? - nope
Samsung UE70TU7020? - nope
LG 75UN70706LD? - nope
Samsung UE55AU8000? - nope

The only two TVs under £800 that can better the LG spec across the board are:

Sony KD55XH9005BU - 100Hz panel
Sony KE55XH9005BU - 100Hz panel

Both excellent sets and very well specified, albeit with the narrower viewing angle of a VA panel, but the better black level too.

There is a frustrating lack of info on the TV, even from LG. However, this site https://www.zkelectronics.com/tv/lg-55nano956na/uk... and this one https://www.displayspecifications.com/en/model/4d5... both point to it being a 10bit panel rather than listing it as 8+2 FRC. But if anyone can come up with a definitive answer then I stand to be corrected.
