F90 M5 LCI Competition Ultimate
Discussion
Morning All,
Am returning to the BMW M fold after a close to 4yr absence.
Collecting my new LCI M5 Comp in Aventurine Red tomorrow lunchtime & to say I'm excited would be an understatement.
Any issues i need to be aware of with the F90 LCI or anything i need to pay special attention too when collecting?
Given the kit on this car, I'm sure I'll be bombarding this group with a million questions over the next few days/weeks, so apologies in advance. Will post some better pictures when i collect the car, but below is the online build image.

Congratulations! I remember conversing with you when we both had F10's. I too am tempted by an M5 but just don't have the need for such a large car now, as desirable as it is. The ultimate pack is pretty good value too. It's a shame that BMW doesn't badge the car as 'ultimate' as you have named it, there's a chance that would give a little uplift on resale.
I hope we get to see some pics.

Thank you. It's a good point as you'd think they would badge it as such, however i guess the Gold Calipers are a giveaway as can't imagine many buyers will have spec'd ramics as a standalone option.I hope we get to see some pics.
Will defo be posting piccies & only 3hrs to go until collection

Beautiful car, and very nice spec! However, disagree with the badging, it is "only" a trim level, it is an M5, full stop. Will defo be posting piccies & only 3hrs to go until collection

Thank you.Very true & would look daft if badged, Comfort, Visibility & Technology etc. but ‘Ultimate’ is kind of different. AMG have cars such as First Edition which get badged. Saying that it’s far from being a concern & sat in Stratstone’s about to collect🎉
Congrats again - lovely car and spec. I have a recenlty collected Motegi red. Are you planning to get it ceramic coated ? Keep an eye on the M Sticker on the grill - mine is peeling off - BMW don't sell the sticker - instead, a whole new grill. Trying to order the speed camera add-on per your FB note - think I crashed the BMW website.

Not sure about getting it Ceramic Coated as i do look after my cars & nothing ever seems to avoid the odd stone chip so have tended to just live with it.
Might have a think about it over the next few weeks, but they still need washing so not really sure if ever worth the outlay.
The Update appears under Apps & then you have to setup in Display settings where you want the Route Warnings to be displayed (HUD or Dash).

That really is a gorgeous machine, very refreshing to see it in a rarer colour - and extremely complete options list that you ticked!
Really wasn't convinced i'd chosen well with the colour as my go to with previous M5's has always been Blue, but i like the rarity & with the black/gold accents i think she looks stunning & she has blue round the headlamps

Agreed - I enjoy looking after the cars too - just wanted an element of protection - went for the 2 to 3 year G-Techniq - £585 for the body, wheels and interior.. chap in Tring who was a referral from a chum - pleased with his work. Not sure about getting it Ceramic Coated as i do look after my cars & nothing ever seems to avoid the odd stone chip so have tended to just live with it.
