2008 DB9 Volante roof not working

My DB9 has unfortunately been parked up on my driveway for past maybe 4/5 months with very little use. I have regularly ran it up whilst parked.

Decided to get her down to the hand car wash today as weather is slowly getting better.

After being washed I went to drop the roof. Windows all dropped it, front of the roof unlocked lifted up about an inch and then stopped. Car beeps like mad saying roof paused. Wouldn't go up or down. Following the manual I push the roof back down and locked it manually.

Got it home and read up about the magnetic sensor that plays up by the screen latch. I reopened the roof played with this and even tried unplugging it and operating it the made a loop in connector to it too and still didn't go any further.

I have since manually shut the roof for the night but only been able to put the front windows up the quarters won't. Firstly any over ride tricks known for this without dropping rear side panels off.

Any thoughts on the roof. I haven't tried disconnecting battery which i will do in the morning incase the module holds the fault even when fix

When my roof failed on my 2005 DB9 it turned out to be a faulty roof module. Once this was changed I never had any more issues.
