Got an email to upgrade my ‘regular’ VF bb (52 download, 19 upload) to the pro version.
Currently pay £19.95/m as I have 2x mobile contracts with them.
Upgrading changes this to £30/m, for a 24m contract. They do offer a £75 Amazon voucher if sign up before 2 May. So circa £26.90/m

Performance at the moment is fine and has been despite the various doom slaying reports I was warned about before I moved. I have been WFH and can’t see that changing too much, so need it for general office based tasks, the family orientated gubbins at other times.

Anyone have the pro version? Is it any better for day to day usage? Worth the additional cost?

Any alternative providers that are offering good deals? (no Virgin here).

Moving to the Pro version myself so I can ditch the BT whole home hubs which I've had problems with for a while. It's a really new proposition (Circa 1 month) and with a 3 week or so lead time for fibre install there won't be many people with much experience of it.

We own Vodafone franchises and its certainly being geared up as a key piece of the product portfolio so I hope it's bloody good haha!

Unless you can get fibre to the property it isn't going to be any better than the service you already have.

Not quite correct, there is the mesh network and the 4g fallback.

Does the op need mesh? Getting you own mesh network (if you need one) is easy and cheap. How often does anyone need 4G fall back? op says his service is fine

Mesh integrated into the BB is a great idea.
4g backup as well.

Like it has been said, I haven't had a need for these as the current service is fine......

I got a feeling that the Pro version is not for me. Its like getting a higher spec car and not using the functions.
