Hi All
I am a new member to your forum, so first of all - Hello!
I am currently working on a project where I need visual reference material for official Ferrari sanctioned add ons. Things like alternative wings, or headlamp surrounds etc. I am not sure yet how much of this stuff exists, I have literally been thrown into this project in the last hour or so, so please forgive my lack of knowledge (I am a Japanese sports car buff myself, sorry!) We have to make 'modified' versions of many Ferrari models, dating back as far as the 1960's, including the 63 GTO. Can anyone point me in the direction of any websites that might be of use?

Thanks in advance...

hello!

As for ferrari 'sanctioned' add ons I'm not really sure - certainly many compaines have createed add ons (eg Koenig mods for F40) whether they are factory sanctioned is another matter!

When you go back in time then you're looking at individual coachwork for Ferraris (particularly things like the GTO) - many had individual bodies built by Frua - comissioned as one offs by wealthy individuals. This was the style of the time and Maserati et al were at it too...

Worth a look on Ferrarichat - as this is effectively a look at officially sanctioned Ferrai Tuning products voer the years theres probably a bearded expert on there with a collection of modded 288GTO's or something

(now that 288GTO Evoluzione would be worth a look though - what a beast!!!)

Thanks for that Mr Tony

Thats just the start I need. I will follow them up.

I was coming to the conclusion that the most suitable option for a classic like the 250 GTO would be some kind of racing livery, to display its 'tuned modification.' I havent seen any images showing add on extras. Obviously the whole concept of add on exterior parts is a relatively modern thing, and not something you would generally see on your average supercar! Now your average Ford Orion, thats a different matter .... ;-)
