Incidently...fair price I thought....
Oil and filter change(Magnatec)MOT,hand-brake adjustment, and suspension raised on all four corners and re-levelled because the springs are beginning to sag. £140 incl the VAT.
Seemed fair to me :)
(Perhaps thats just because it passed!)

ps. Eagerly await outcome of forthcoming test on which springs for the 'S'give the best ride.

Tests just about all done, no surprises in store on the fast road set up but I will collect the car on Thursday and get the full report.
I can say the testing has been thorough, its taken about 10 man hours, including SG ringing the nuts off my poor old banger.(only joking)but he does know how to throw a car about a bit.

Happy to hear the results about ready.
When should we expect a post???

I want to get mine re-springed ASAP as it is presently set with the ride height pretty high and I just don't like the ride, or the look...even if I do miss more manhole covers with the exhaust!

I want a less spine-snapping,rattle-ridden ride than I presently have..something that gives a more modern car feel would be welcome.
I have gaz dampers all round which can be adjusted,presently set in the middle of their adjustable range, but I tend to keep the tyre pressures up at about 24lb all around.

Any advice you can give me in the light of results you know?
Am I still to think 325-350 for the front,275-300 for the back for the sort of ride I want,then adjust dampers to fine tune?

I changed to the Austec recommended (road use) 300f/250r set up which is pretty soft by standards here. I know I'm getting on a bit but it still seems pretty harsh to me from a comfort point of view while providing rather indifferent handling, despite full laser alignment etc. So going stiffer and still being uncomfortable but having control may be worth it. IIRC when we met at the Grasshopper at Xmas you live somewhere past Maidstone. I live in Dartford so, if you want, we could meet some time and you sample the set up yourself - if only to show the way not to go!

That Austec set up is probably where I will be for the soft set up, I'm not going to give anything else away for the minute because I want SG to see my written report and approve it before I publish

Way soft by any standards, I will slap Paul when I see him next week. Not really, that is ok on the back but too soft on the front IMHO, I would up the front to 350lb with that spring rate on the back
