I always thought the hoses looked a bit clumsy as they changed size/shape and lacked the engineering look that the 4.2 had.

although that purple certainly brightens up the engine bay.

True, I'm sure.
Just celebrated my 32nd WedAnniv but the current Mrs Cerbera is starting
to worry that I've spent more on BlackBeauty© than I have on her

There’s a guy on the chimeara forum whose just fitted these to his RV8 with Jenvey throttle bodies

They do look like they evolved organically on some alien planet I agree!
