Hello all, I'm hoping some of the knowledgeable guys on here can help me out - I'm attempting to remove and replace the standard rear wing on my 2002 996 Turbo coupe.

I've got a C-spanner and can rotate the post, but the wing never seems to "pop up" out of its retaining slot like it does in the how to videos.

I've gone as far as rotating it 360* in either direction (I know clockwise is the correct direction to release), but nothing happens - the piston sleeve just rotates, even when I try to put moderate lifting pressure on the wing (not easy whilst trying to rotate the piston sleeve!).

Can anyone please help me understand what I'm doing wrong? thumbup

The C spanner turns the outer sleeve, until you can see the inner release hole, then the spoilier will release.
Have got a C spanner with small pin on the end,as this is what locates into the small inner hole.
