Anyone following the Manor Park Classics auction today (27th April)?
I'm interested what this 1973 Triumph 2.5pi saloon goes for. It got Fuzz Townsend gushing in the videos.
I'm in the US so a behind timewise.

They've only just sold Lot 60, so could be a while before the Pi goes across the block?

Wow......pretty much star of the auction that Pi.....estimate of 8-12k, and it hammered at £21.5k.

Yup, so just shy of £25K with the buyer's fee.

Lotta wonga for a Pi....did look lovely though (although I would bin the Compomotives for a set of Minilites or banded steelies)

Interesting that most stuff was selling at low estimate or mid estimate values in general, apart from the 5 big value vehicles, The late 60's Merc Sl, the two 911's, the Interceptor and the V12 E-Type, and non of them reached the lower estimate, with the 911T, Merc and the V12 E-Type not even reaching provisional, the E-Type only got a couple of bids that stopped dead at 56k for a 80-100k estimate. Clearly the market has collapsed for non Series 1 E's.
I was surprised that the unique gold 911E Targa didn't get close to the 80-100k estimate, and again not even a provisional at a mere 66k.

Shows that enthusiasts looking for real cars are happily buying, and the big ticket item market has collapsed.

I found a link on the auction website to a live YouTube feed and was able to watch the Pi auction on my lunchbreak biggrin

I had feeling it would sell above the £12k top estimate, and was thinking higher teens. It's a bit of a stand out example but I bet every Pi owner has now upped their cars value by at least £5k driving

I have fond memories of a friend of my Dad's lovely M-reg dark green 2.5Pi estate that he owned in around 1977/8 when my Dad just had an early K-reg plain Jane 2000 Mk2 estate....Dad was so jealous laugh
