Where to buy smart shirts for the pub/restaurant?

So after a year of wearing t shirts and lounge shorts it looks like we might have a summer of night life after all. However I have just realised all my shirts are years old.

I am pretty unadventurous and just tend to wear smart jeans, smart trainers and smart dark fitted shirts and I hate tucking them in as I get uncomfortable - where is the best place to buy quality shirts?

Must be fitted/tailored as I hate the tent look.

H&M or Zara have fitted shirts and not expensive.

Thanks, I am looking for something a little bit more upmarket to be honest. My clothes budget has been non-existant for an entire year so I can afford to splash out a little.

Thanks, not a great deal of choice to be honest though. A search for plain casual shirts came up with only one item.

The usual suspects from designer labels then. Boss, Armani and Burberry all do smart fitted shirts. Paul Smith if you’re particularly slim.

+1 for Charles T and I'l add TM Lewin, Hawes and Curtis.

If those are too 'corporate' then it probably has to be your usual suspects for 'designer names' such as Hugo Boss, YSL etc etc

I have bought many shirts from CT but only for work.

The one time I did buy a casual shirt from them I was very unimpressed and it never got worn as it looked and felt cheap.

Boss (black label) is normally solid (don't get the cheaper 'red label' Hugo)
Should cover you from casual up to formal

Paul Smith (PS), not the mainline that is silly money

Harvie and Hudson does nice work shirts, as does Eton if you can get them on sale

When I look at Hawes & Curtis I see the face of Tukar Soliman so that puts me off, and the Lewin shirts I bought lasted about a year (maybe they are better now)

Have a look at 'UNTUCKit' shirts, designed to be worn out with a good range of cuts to suit most shapes,the quality is good as well.

Take a look at Sauce & Brown www.sauceandbrown.com

Great quality, good fit and given their selling point is that they only make 100 of every style, you are not likely to find someone else in the pub wearing the same shirt as might happen with shirts from the big chains.

No connection to them other than I was born and raised in the same village as they are based, but the shirts and T-shirts I've purchased from them are amongst the highest quality in my wardrobe.

Some great recommendations there! enough to fuel a few nights virtual shopping anyway,

I was intrigued but the Untuckit! as they look good on screen. (awful website though) I ordered one shirt out of curiosity and will report back on the the quality.
