Any ideas of cost of insuring small vintage tractor for occasional road use by experienced ‘ Clean record’ driver middle aged. Looked on line but nothing without giving details, which would elicit junk mail.

10 minute mail if you're that concerned about junk.

Problem might be that you need specialist insurer, e.g. NFU, in which case call them up to discuss, we've got half a dozen policies with them and zero junk.

My Father in Law has a group policy through Hagerty that includes his vintage cars / tractors and steam engine but sorry no idea of cost other than it was quite reasonable in comparison to my BMW which at the time I included on the same policy

Thanks. There’s one locally. That’s all I need to know. NFU were very reasonable for cars until people latched on to them.
