VANTAGE HEADLIGHT HALOGEN TO HID

I have a 09 Vantage with intermittent turn signal issues. I have access to a complete pair of HID headlights from a wrecked 2017 car. The wiring harness plug seems the same and I would delete the headlight washer system. Is there something I have missed in the electrics to prevent this swap? Thanks Tim

I'm not an Aston guy but I believe it's a it's a question of ballast. Essentially HID needs some electrical control parts as well as just a bulb - a bit like a mains voltage fluorescent light.

Check out this Youtube video converting a C5 Corvette to HID. The key electrical point around the ballast is about 3 minutes in and the physical installation is mentioned at 6 minutes,
