Anyone got experience with Breguet?
Discussion
I am not a collector...have a few watches..(JLC Reverso and a Porsche Design watch that is my daily.)
Cars are more my thing.
However I am thinking of a Breguet. I dont really get the infinite range of sports watches or huge complications..these are for people with more interest than I do.
The watch I am contemplating is here, probably in white gold:
https://www.breguet.com/en/timepieces/classique/77...
any other suggestions?

No experience sadly but they look amazing. One of the brands that has not succumbed to the "bling" trend, and you hardly ever see them in the wild.
Always fancied a type XX myself
There is a shop on Old Bond St. I think they are the type of watch you really have to see in person.
That is what I like...it just tells the time; nothing more, but looks quite restrained to me and not flashy.Always fancied a type XX myself

Fantastic watch which I am lucky enough to own. I am always fascinated by unusual movements, and this watch contains a rarity (I think maybe a first?) in that it uses a magnetic balance to enable a very accurate 10Hz movement. Aesthetically I love the guilloche dial. Cars are more my thing.

Wears very well on the wrist. It’s clearly a lovely dress watch, but also usable as a daily.
I think one of Breguet’s best.

A watch to tell the time, whatever next? It's amazing how many watch 'stylists' get so carried away that it's quite difficult to actually see what the time is - I suppose it depends whether people wear a watch to know what the time is or just for show.
I'd say it's for wearing, as jewellery for menand telling the time is a nice bonus

Had this for about 5 or 6 years:

Love it, and took me a few years to find one in the blue colour I wanted.
It's much more accurate than my Daytona.
Ignoring Voldemort's enamel dial, which I would happily kill him for, the dial on the Marine is a mini masterpiece. Made of solid gold, silvered and hand engraved on one of the ancient Breguet rose wheels. A discreet pleasure... I rather like that. I also rather like the completely unnecessary two wheel date mechanism - a little complication, just because they can.Love it, and took me a few years to find one in the blue colour I wanted.

If you like Breguet, there is no substitute.
I have one. My favourite watch. Bought on NDA's advice, actually! It's the watch that got me into watches - my first serious watch purchase, and the beginning of an addiction I cannot shake.
The finishing is exquisite - in a completely different league to my Rolex Yacht Master (which is meant to be their high end steel watch in terms of finishing). It feels like a very, very luxurious thing. The guilloche dial (solid gold, machined, and then silver plated - I don't know why, either, frankly) is utterly beautiful.
I only really take it out of the safe and wear it occasionally - but it feels very special when I do. Only thing I don't like is that it is a bit of an attention grabber - no-one knows what it is, but it just looks very expensive. Only watch I own that I feel nervous wearing out on the street in London, although I am probably in more danger when a steel Rolex is on my wrist. It just feels expensive and desirable.
It gets worn when I am taking cabs somewhere, and around the house when I just want to gaze at something so beautifully put together.
I liken my Rolex to my AMG Merc. Brilliant, effective, built like a tank with a tonne of clever engineering and very nice to look at. I liken the Breguet to my old Maserati GranSport - not to everyone's taste, but chock full of craftsmanship (anyone that has seen the leatherwork on these cars will know what I mean) and I'll turn around after locking that car and just stare at it, sometimes. Same with the Breguet. When you wear it, you just want to stare at it.

Ive just bought this and absolutely love it.

The dial is something quite hypnotic the attention to detail is fantastic, hard to show off on crappy phone pics but you can see the whole dial is looking to represent waves as it's a marine watch except the 24 hr clock where the design changes with 6 am to 6 pm representative of the sun rising and setting.

Only worn it twice so far but find myself getting lost in the dial and often forget to look at the actual time.
