Isopon plastic padding or any recognised paste type filer for cars, follow instructions for mixing ,leave slightly proud when cured rub down, prime, paint then T cut around edges etc

Changing the subject slightly I recently acquired some T Cut metalic paint restorer which works wonders on the faded RED collection here. I've read about the ammonia in the original T Cut damaging gel coat but this other stuff seems to be worth a few quid, anyone else tried it?

i'd say chopped strand fibreglass filler or bridging filler as ive seen it called most commonly known as p40 fill leaving it slightly low, finish off with ordinary polyester type filler more commonly called p38 and of course do not paint red
no not tried t cut metallic
thought that had ammonia too ???
any one know?
its still baby oil for me
as 42p asda bottle is still going strong after more than a year

the marine method - grind back around the area, reducing the thickness of the grp in a taper, the centre of the hole being the thinest bit, build back up with reducing layers of matting and resin until just below level of surrounding surface, wont go into repairing the gel coat as its a pain, but you could at this stage finish with a layer of resin, stretching clingfilm over it while still wet, you end up with a surface you can wet n dry rub and paint over
