I know a lot has changed , mainly rubber but that is over a minute faster than the 996.2 GT3 . As Estre says these road cars are now faster than the 996/early 997 Cup cars on slicks !! Interesting to see what Ti Harvey did at Donny in his MR on Cup R a few days ago .

Interesting the heated Cup2R tyres. I liked the explanation that it was because they were tight for time
I would be interested to see what lap time he could get on a second or third flying lap. Slower I would wager. I wonder what the thermal cycle degradation is on those tyres?
