My 911 is now nigh-on immaculate apart from this annoying piece of windscreen trim. The whole rubber strip is looking faded and rather shabby. I’ve tried pretty much every quality trim restorer going (PERL, Gtechniq C4 etc) but they won’t make a difference. I’m wondering if I need to actually paint it. If so does anyone know of paint for rubber trim?

For me, if the rubber restorer products weren’t working and I wanted the car the immaculate, I’d be pricing up a new piece of trim/s!

It looks to have been painted previously so such products must be available or maybe that's why it's failing?

I can’t tell if it was paint or just the natural surface of the rubber. I’ve tried scratching the dark part with my nail but it won’t come off. Maybe it does replacing.
