90% town driving, 80-100 miles per week max. I will tackle anything mechanically I just cannot deal with with rust.

Have a few on my shortlist.

1.4 zetec mk5 fiesta, not sure if they rust though? Here’s 2, first one with full Ford service history, both £1,800.

Also looking here’s a good Aygo for £2,000 with full Toyota service history.

And also a nice 107 for consideration.

Any other little reliable cars I should consider please guys?

At that end of the market, buy on what you see as opposed to make/model.

I wouldn't fancy paying £2k for any of them tbh, I'd look for something more interesting on Facebook marketplace and see what pops up without a specific make/ model in mind.

Thank you guys, some great suggestions as always!

I really liked the aygo I linked though, I thought there was a lot of love for them on here for being reliable & all round excellent city cars, is that not the case now?

found my twingo to be thoroughly reliable and no rust issues at all. think they might have plastic arches? can't remember - sure my Clio 182 did.

They're reliable & a good car, but this is PH so we're showing you reliable but more interesting/fun options. smile
