Bezos started the trend, now all the fashionable billionaires are doing it. I suppose he did pledge to give half his fortune away!

I wonder how the foundation will be affected.

Was it Bill Gates who said something like, I'd rather lose 75 billion than 75 grand, in a 50/50 divorce.

She was looking for a quiet retirement, enjoy a bit of travel, maybe do a little bit of charity work to pass the time...

He wanted to conquer the world ;-)

Just two different ways to spend your dotage.

Bill was shown having his jab - well, showed his sleeve rolled up - and made a lot of the benefit of him being 65.

Melinda, assume so, but she is a tad younger - 11 yrs I believe.

Ah well, we know what will fill the news now for a few days which will please both Boris and SKS I suspect.

Melinda Gates was interviewed the other night on Bloomberg. She is very well connected and very vocal about her opportunities to influence. She came across as a very busy professional person, on multiple boards etc. Certainly involved at country level, politically powerful. I was a bit surprised tbh, hadn’t given her a thought before. Maybe bill wanted the easy life lol?

Belarus as a divorce settlement can't be bad though. Or Panama.

Didn't know that either, but makes sense really...

So, all out war for the Earth then!

Isn't 95% of their wealth allocated to the Gates Foundation? Both of them our trustees but it also has a board of directors.

Anyway, that would mean 95% of the wealth is outside this divorce case.

The question is, which of them will take the record for the number of new Facebook friend requests in one day?

Interesting timing. It's kind of moneyshot time for the foundation and it's aims.

I guess she wasn’t happy with his explanation about flying Epstein Airways.

She is never off it, they must have run the same interview and soundbites for over a year droning on about women.

I am amazed it lasted so long.
