BCA DB9

Nice looking Volante up for auction at BCA tomorrow. 24k miles warranted with 13 dealer services in the book but bodywork has a lot of blistering so classed as a grade 3. Nice little project for someone good with a spray gun. What you reckon, £35k?

I have not seen a db9 with corrosion on rear wheel arches before ...

No I don’t get the prices, I don’t have a trade account. I’m surprised at the amount of blistering too but it can’t be rust can it? The car has a clear mot history and with all those services I doubt very much it would have been mistreated. Strange innit?

Tbh it would have to cheaper than that for me to buy it with those issues and the poor paint on the door etc.


Oh and the drivers seat looks like it needs attention

The rear quarter panels on a Vantage are steel. Might it be the same on DB9s ?

It looks like they are from the picture - I have just not seen it before - not that I see loads of them - so willing to be educated ;-) but there is another at BCA which also has corrosion in the rear wing also - so maybe time is taking its toll.
