I'm trying to buy a used car from a main dealer. Remotely.

It's not a cheap car.

Neither are the parts to repair it. I don't want to be spending for at least a year.

I have asked to see a copy of the service history and I want to know how much tread is left on the tyres and the % wear on disks and pads.

It has supposedly just been serviced at the dealer so this info will be to hand.

Almost a week later I'm still waiting. Is it a thing that nothing potentially controversial is put in writing now?

Just sounds like a lazy/busy salesperson

Nothing you have asked for is controversial or would be something anyone would be unwilling to put in writing.
