Three lions on a shirt...oh, wait
Discussion
I did check this wasn't a delayed April fools gag, but the FA have indeed replaced the three lions logo with:
- a lion
- a lioness
- a cub (sex not known)
It's all slightly irrelevant to me, as how do we know that the sex assigned at birth to these animals corresponds to the gender they relate to?

Whichever brand consultant pedalled this nonsense to the FA deserves applause though...very creative.

A new logo is all well and good, but there are a lot of local clubs really struggling for funds at the moment.
I don't really like football, but my kids do, the eldest is in the local club, and the youngest will be from September.

A new logo doesn't really help that much with the above issues...

The club is really struggling for funds. As I understand it their three main sources of income, not sure of the order, are:
- Subs from the players. (We've still paid for our eldest. because we're fortunate that we can, but a lot of parents are either struggling or don't want to pay the full year when there has been significantly reduced training and games due to Covid.)
- Ticket sales from matches. (They're either not happening or people aren't going to watch.)
- Bar sales from games and events run in the bar like birthday parties. (Understandably closed / jus starting to re-open.)
A new logo doesn't really help that much with the above issues...

In that context it doesn't seem a big deal.
Nah why worry about context and actual facts! In that context it doesn't seem a big deal.
They've made our England badge woke, Grrr
