Hi all,

I recently bought a pre-built i5-10400F machine with an Asus B460m-A motherboard and 2x Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDDR4 RAM at 3,000 MHz, full spec here:

https://www.scan.co.uk/products/scan-gamer-rtx-int...

When I check the task manager, the control panel shows that the memory is 2,666MHZ, which I think is the intel standard supporting speed?

The motherboard supports up to 3,000 MHz and I've double checked the physical memory sticks and they are 3,000 MHz. The power supply is 550W and I'm not even running the RTX 3070 on the machine, so plenty of power and cooling.

Can someone please advise how I speed up (overclock?) the RAM to get it running at its optimal 3,000 MHz?

Thanks! smile

Ok, think I answered my own question...

In short, go in to BIOS, advanced mode, AI Tweaker, select DCOP and then select the correct speed in the drop down box. Then restart.

i don't think that will work. The B460,chipset only supports 2666MHz for I5 or lower CPU's and 2933MHz for I7 and I9 CPU's
This is hard wired into the chipset.
