V8 Vantage bonnet / hood misalignment

Hi everyone

I have an issue with my 2013 V8V in that the bonnet / hood seems to be misaligned. From looking front on, you can see that on the left the bonnet / hood seems to be lower than the front wing / headlight section, whereas on the right hand side its higher. You can also see on the right hand side that the bonnet / hood appears to be sitting further back from the front wing / headlight section.

I've read online about adjusting the rubber bumper screws that sit on the bonnet / hood, and also about adjusting the striker (bonnet catch mechanism). I've tried adjusting the striker mechanism, via a bolt, but said bolt is seized so have had no luck there. I also don't think that this would resolve the issue because my issue doesn't seem to be affecting both sides; the whole thing just seems skewed. I'm a bit stumped, so ay help would be much appreciated!

Don’t know the history of the car and it probably doesn’t relate to your car , mis aligned panels are sometimes down to a repair job that hasn’t been done correctly. I recently viewed a dbs with spurious shut lines which I took photos and sent to Aston Martin , they said it would not have left the factory as it was . Hopefully this isn’t the case with yours

Just check the shut lines are the same on both sides of the car ie the gap between the doors and the front wings , the near side wing looks like it should be further forward , unless it’s the bonnet on at a angle if so the shut lines in relation to the wings won’t be parallel down there length
