Hi all,
Im having a couple of electrical issues and hope some of you here may have experienced them and can help?
The Heater fan has been spasmodic for the 4 years I have owned the car but has now given up the ghost, if i put a direct feed to the motor it works fine so im thinking the control box has an issue, has anyone details for someone to check it over and repair?
The indicators have stopped working, hazards work fine checked all fuses all ok,any ideas?
Lastly the windows have stopped dropping when opening the doors ,they work fine on the switches again any ideas?
In 4 years these are the first issues so im not suicidal just keen to keep on top of them

Check the heater control box. Under the dash top, directly behind the controls.
Undo the big white plug and look at it - my 50 p says one terminal will look burnt.

Mine is a 2000 model and has dropped the windows when you unlock either door,I assumed it came from the factory like that but it may be someone has modified it ,I will speak to Fernhurst (the supplying dealer) tomorrow to see if they have any information.

The window dropper was an after market fit.
Its a seperate module probably under the dash along with the Penny Pleasers for the indicators & wipers.
The window dropped to clear the door seal.
Just ignore, remove or replace if you think you really need them.

Indicators and haz share the same flasher module so that is not the issue.
Try fuse 15. or failing that the indicator switch.

Thanks Steve, sure enough fuse 15 blown, the bible tells me fuses 6 and 7 are indicators and 15 is wipers, but who cares everything is working now.
I have removed the heater control unit (no sign of burnt contacts)along with the fan switch will take it to my electronics man who is having a look at it tomorrow.
As always thanks for the help lads!

Re the heater - there is a resistor in the heater control box that goes. I have already replaced mine but it went again. I gave up after that. I believe there is probably another part of the pcb or something connected to it that is at fault. Either that or the motor is on it's way out and causing the resistor to blow. But my knowledge of auto electrics can be written on a pin head.
