Or at least so says Roger Daltrey.

Not sure I agree with everything he says, but I do think his main point has some weight - people seem scared of everything these days and, worse, always looking for someone else to tell them what to do.

He’s not wrong. However if you avoid fairytale lands like universities and big corporations, you can usually avoid them smile

He’s said a lot of words there with absolutely no substance, what does he actually mean or what his he trying to say.

Just sounds like an old man having a rant about young people.

Not really what he said though was it.
So good headline from a tissue thin story to generate clicks to promote new album.
Same as the old boss!

For now. I remember before it was in big corporations, not so long ago. It'll be everywhere before you know it.

It does seem to be spreading. I’m not talking about just being PC, it’s more about being ostracised if you don’t take part.

I find that if one acts kindly, and with consideration, one simply doesn't need to get all aereated about the idea of treating others with respect.

Come on Roger, we won't be fooled again. Stop talkin' bout my generation and go catch a magic bus to baba o reilly's place where you can meet Tommy, hes a bit muddled now, he might ask who are you and he probably can't explain who he is, but he'll tell you the kids are alright .

It's everywhere already, social media, including here.
If you disagree with someone and they grass you up your posts get deleted for 'bullying'.

Old bloke thinks that the world has gone mad. Quite common, I think.

When he was singing "My Generation" did he care what old people thought?

Agreed. Basically try not to act like a dick and you'll be fine.

I've disagreed with loads of people. I don't think I've ever had a post deleted tbh. I'll be stunned if I'm the only one.

I read the article. Lots about how good he was at swinging a microphone, but hardly anything about the woke generation, so ignoring the spin put on it by the person writing the article I’m not quite sure what Daltry was trying to say.

I think his point is that young people remind him of those old people you are referring to.

I had one deleted today for suggesting someone was thick.

That’s exactly the point. If someone can get banned or have post deleted for calling someone thick, the it’s a perfect example of oversensitivity. In my experience the non-thick have a decent retort. Seems the tick ones now just hit the complain button.

Flip side to that is if you can’t discuss something without saying something abusive Id say you haven’t got strong debating skills either.
