UK fuel additive to dissolve sulphur deposits.

Hi all,

C5 Corvettes suffer from a common issue where the fuel level sender gets a crusty layer of sulphur build up and then stops giving a reading.

In the USA they swear putting "Techron" in the tank to cure it, which isnt commonly available over here.

So im looking for an easily sourced additive that will tackle sulphur?

UK fuels contain virtually no sulphur (<10ppm) so I’d imagine this would not be an issue here?

Agree, the UK has had this limit for quite some time whilst the USA have only recently introduced a similar sulphur limit in fuel.

It is, but as you will be using UK fuel living in Southampton the issue shouldn't be an issue.

The issue already exists and has done since i bought the car.
