I removed a fuel tank earlier and it smelled off. Less "fumey" and more like vinegar, for want of a better description. Very odd. Is this due to age? Has been sat at least 5 years.
Depends what you want to use it for! Anyhow from my time in the business anything older than six weeks on a major oil site would go back to the terminal to be re-jigged and that would be very expensive to pump out.
That is def beyond use as a fuel, dispose of or use as a cleaner - you could mix with some new fuel and run it though something like a lawnmower but i wouldn't run it through a car
