Just got myself an m140i what exhaust mods do people recommend still wanting that 6 pot deep sound and want it to be road legal 🤣

What year is the car?

Later cars have a GPF which takes away some of the noise and restrict your options.

If you don’t have a GPF, the M Performance exhaust is a popular option. Remus make a backbox for cars with and without a GPF but it’s not cheap.

You could consider an exhaust mod from someone like PCW or Bob Williams.

Yes I have a 68 plate so pretty sure it’s the gpf model

Yup, GPF will be fitted to that.

I’d start with an OE exhaust mod from PCW. It’s £300 or so and most who have it done seem really pleased with it. A Remus is about £1,300 which is a bit strong.

Where are you based? Bob Williams is up north (can’t remember where). His mods are backbox only rather than the res as well like PCW. Think he charges £180.

Yeah Bob did mine on my m235i, its still the same exhaust just some of the baffles removed so shouldnt cost anything I just ticked the modified exhaust box so dont know how much each mod was
