Sickening act but why do I have the feeling the husband has something to do with this murder?

I noticed the husband gave an interview. Sorry but it reminds me of past killers wanting the limelight.
I really hope I am wrong and if I am I will be very sorry.
I only caught a second but it sounded very strange how he was able to retell the story so clearly so soon after the event. I really hope I am wrong and if I am I will be very sorry.
Don’t like to speculate but if it isn’t him it’s surely someone he had upset for something so barbaric. Hanging the dog FFS

My second thought after reading about this unpleasant story was to come looking on PH for the thread saying it waz the husband wot dun it.
My first thought was that something seems a bit off with the details and that the husband could be involved in some way. He seems to be unscathed and giving a relatively calm account straight to the media. People do react differently in extreme situations but I can't imagine wanting to do the same personally in such awful circumstances.

Who keeps that much money in the house? Is this the down side of the congenital dislike for banks and paying tax?
Yes, it's all about the possibility of losing ones wealth if the banks crash, many people pulled their money from the banks several years agoArgentina comes to mind

It’s Greece.
I have a Greek friend who is, err, relaxed about taxes.
He tried to pay his kids school fees with a briefcase full of cash.
His aunt conspired with a bank manager to steal his inheritance.
It’s a third world country in pretty clothes.
Greece isn't a third world country, it has all the latest technology, very good universities, many well built modern houses and renovated old housesI have a Greek friend who is, err, relaxed about taxes.

Unfortunately Greece joining the EU was a big mistake and it shouldn't have been allowed to happen
Greece can't compete with other countries because it only has Olive Oil and Tourism to sell

Viewed the interview today and didn't notice anything suspicious, the man looked to be sufferingThoughts?

Do posters here expect the man to break down in tears for the media?
I did a criminology degree and one particular fact always stuck in my head.
- When a female is murdered, over 90% of the time the victim is acquainted to the perpetrator.
I am actually underselling it. It is closer to 100% than it is 90%.
That statistic is consistent in every country on the planet.
Take away from that what you want but I guess you can figure my theory on this case.

I've got a WhatsApp group with a couple of mates interested in 'crimes in the press'. It lit up on this one straight away.
I know it's perfectly legal and all that, but a 33yo bloke with a 20yo wife and kid jumped out as being 'different', hence the interest piques.
If you are the supposed robber, what do you gain from killing her with a pair of trousers, other than a much longer prison sentence if/when caught?
Surely any self-respecting crim who is prepared to do home-invasion burglary with threats to kill that they are prepared to carry out goes tooled up with knives and/or guns. They had allegedly incapacitated the husband, the wife and mother's natural reaction in these circs would be to protect her child, she's not exactly going to go fighting a crim and be a threat to them.
It poses a number of questions as to alternative circumstances, that's for sure.
