Don't think this got a mention when it was first screened on tv but worth a look. I've mostly been disappointed by ITV's recent drama but this was a cut above. Only 3 episodes, a limited no. of characters, no convoluted sub-plots and some fantastic acting by Denise Gough and Emily Watson.

Anyone else seen it?

We watched it live so to speak and thought it was going to be another disappointment but I think it redeemed itself at the end.

This is not the sort of thing I usually watch, indeed I wouldn't have done had I not read about it on here and noticed Emily Watson was in it. She is one of this country's finest actresses, right up there with such greats as Olivia Coleman, Julie Graham, Sally Hawkins, Anna Maxwell Martin and Nicola Walker.

I was hooked ten minutes into the first episode.

Glad you enjoyed it. Came as a surprise to me as well! Was much better than the usual bilge. So many ITV dramas are dragged out for too many episodes only for the final reveal to be rushed into the last 10 mins and be an anti-climax. This one made a refreshing change.
