After all the recent S6 bashing, lets have a topic with some good news for a change.

I'll start........

Whoo Hoo! :D

It feels sooooooo good to be back behind the wheel after nearly a month off!

And all because of a shorting immobiliser wire and an oil pressure sensor.......

Let me guess, if a TVR ever does well on TV you're a member of the, 'it must have had a 'special' engine' brigade?

Good for you, nelly1

I love the S6 machines, and when I can justify owning one as well as the Chim, I'll be handing over the reddies with no concerns (just a very broad grin).

Oh, those are some impressive figures btw

Figures are simple enough to check, are torque and bhp the same at 5252 rpm, in this case they appear to be around the 350 mark so this appears fine. Check at other levels by using the torque to bhp conversion formula (which is what a rolling road printout does anyway).

and people say pistonheads isnt snobbish!

im not saying its not good power as if self evidently is, its just those figures show nearly 90ibft per litre, no N/A road cars/bikes make that much, not M3'S, type r's etc

and as for saying im jealous, thats just totally laughable, yes its a stunning car, and no i cant afford one, but i have absolutly no aspirations to own one either! i was just making a not paricuarly well worded comment.
oh and nugg's ,maybe i do drive a shopping trolley, but you drive a poorly engineered piece of plastic with a 50 yr old engine.

awaits flaming....

Eh? Civic type R has 100bhp per litre and the M3 CSL gets 360bhp from a 3.2

Oops, you said lb/ft/litre......sorry

He's talking about ft/lb's per litre, not BHP. If you want NA bhp per liter, S2000 has almost 120. Not much in the ft/lb department though

I was at Austec on Tuesday when they rolling roaded your car, nelly1.

What a noisy beast!

Edited to say I notice that session was done on Monday. They also did it on Tuesday.

I'm sorry but I cannot let such a factually incorrect and disgusting statement go unanswered. So, on behalf of Nuggs I would like to say that you sir are ill informed as, from Le Mans, Nuggs drives a "piece of burnt plastic".

I trust this balances matters.

Regards,

N

For the record, for the princely sum of £300, Austec transformed it from a "piece of burned plastic" back into a "poorly engineered piece of plastic" - much better

That is one of the funniest thing in ages, the driver of a Pug 205 (a nice car in its day though) deriding a Chimaera. Mind you, be careful you don't upset 'bad boy'.
