I'm just fitting a TomTom Rider to my bike. But often I'll want to ride without the device or the mounting fitted and this means that the connection on the end of the charging cable will be exposed and I'm sure it's not waterproof. I'm just wondering if anyone has found a good solution for this. Any waterproof cap that I can put on the end of the connector to keep the rain out?

I assume you mean the current TomTom Rider series. I have 400 bought in late 2016 and have had no issues at all with the mount when the Rider is not attached and it's been through some horrendous rain.

Yes, it’s a current model (Rider 500). But I don’t mean the terminals on the mount because I will remove the mount when not in use. I mean the end of the charging cable. Those terminals will be exposed to the rain.

as are the 2 contact pads on the mount, it's just a power pass through so if the cable is live so is the mount and as stated I've had no issues. I leaver the mount on all the time as it's much easier, can't be ars*d taking it on and off.
