Cerbera year of manufacture info

Quick question for those in the know.

How can you find out the exact date of manufacture of your Cerb? Am I correct in thinking the date of manufacture and date of first registration may be different? ie Cerb was manufactured mid-to-end of one year but registered the following year?

They can be different.

Decoding the VIN code will give you manufacturing date.

Mine was made in Feb 1996, but registered in July.
