Deal done on this:

https://finder.porsche.com/gb/en_GB/718-Cayman-GTS...

Is it the worst possible time to buy a used car? Yup.

Am I paying way over the odds? Certainly.

Will I be bhing about depreciation next year? Inevitably

Should I have paid a bit more for a new 4.0l variant? Hell yes.

But today, I am ecstatic and cannot wait!

Counting the days.....

Thanks to all for the advice over the last few months.

Great car. The 2.5lt engine is actually very good. Enjoy it and don’t give a toss about what anyone else says.

Best colour too. I’ve just ordered mine in that colour

I think you are pushing 80k for the same car new. 6-9 months for delivery as well. Didn't want to wait any longer after the last year. Who knows what time any of us really have. A friend recently had a stroke aged 50. I mean 50 ffs.

It's probably the most financially reckless thing I have done in 20 years! But by god it is thrilling....

I love the colour in particular.

Yes. The colour is fantastic.

And the wheels. And the interior.

And when I commented I didn’t realise it was a GTS. All the other Porsche GTS models I’ve heard sound great. So hope that one does too.

Do start a thread when it comes! (Or continue this one…)

Lovely looking car in a fabulous spec. My wife’s Boxster is the base model....engine has got plenty about it so imagine the GTS is very lively ! Congrats on making the correct decision of buying a car to enjoy and not worrying about the numbers !!!

Best colour but I am biased. I had a F4 CGTS prior to my current F6 CGTS and it was a cracking car. Enjoy it.

I was admiring that car on the site last week. Terrific looking. Love the turbo alloys.
I drove a 2.5gts at pec. I thought it was terrific . Everybit as quick as my 981 spyder.

As said on here , spend some money if you have grafted.

My dad passed last month and as he did not spend or get the joy of gifting , we are giving his money to the tax man now....

Looks gorgeous. After all this lockdown the freedom to get out and just drive will be great. The good times you will have will make you forget about the numbers in five minutes !

Thanks cloudstuff.

Has been a v tough time.
But getting there.

I blasted down to the my dads favourite bit of seaside in my spyder a fews days after he passed to clear my head . The car was a tonic.

When i pass all my wealth will be long since gifted over to my kids . My kids will only have to fight over my car and my pushbikes...

I do know, I think, how you feel. Lost my mum years ago - puts everything in perspective - a searing clarity about what matters.

Brilliant car, congratulations.

I just sold my Gentian Blue Boxster and found it was a bit of a chameleon as the light changes going from a dull blue in grey and cloudy skies to almost a vibrant purple in bright sunlight. The only word of caution is be careful when cleaning it as I found mine marked a bit more easily than our other cars.

Enjoy smile
