Hornsby Shares Transfer
Discussion
Hoping the Pistonheads collective fiscal mind might be able to help here…
My FiL died last year - now we’re trying to transfer his Hornby shares to his wife. Despite writing several times for the relevant forms her solicitor has had no response.
Any alternate ideas to help get this resolved? (rest of his estate all done quite easily)
TIA

Are the shares registered in his name or are they held via a bank or platform?
If they are held in his name then give the Hornby share registrar a call:
https://www.capita.com/investors/shareholder-infor...
Does the wife really want the shares? The registrar could arrange for them to be sold if not.
If she really want to keep them then it can be easier to manage the holding in the future by buying the shares back through a platform like Hargreaves Lansdown, AJ Bell etc.
