Aston Martin DBS windows stuck

I thought I post this in case anyone else has the same issue I’ve just had with mine (hence the full title to help searching).

I’ve not used my car for a few weeks and when I tried to start it the battery had run down, not completely flat but it wouldn’t turn over. I jump started it without a problem but when I tried to open the windows they wouldn’t budge. After googling and looking at the wiki on here, all the advice seems to need a window reset which involves winding the windows all the way down and back up again, which mine wouldn’t do. The central locking had also stopped working and the windows didn’t drop when opening the door.

I found a couple of sites suggesting that the window modules would need physically disconnecting from the power and that I would need to take the doors apart to get to them which I didn’t fancy doing so thought I would try removing the fuses first to see that might fix the issue.

To cut a long rambling story short, it did. The two fuses are no’s 83 and 84 which are in the fuse box under the passenger footwell. I pulled them out (along with fuse 82 because I misread the numbers) and put them back and everything was fine afterwards.
