2015 V8 Vantage - Daylight saving

I’ve had a quick “search” but couldn’t find an answer. I was out in the V8V today and noticed that the clock was set to GMT rather than BST.

I had a quick search through the manual to find that time comes from the satnav and mine was set to be “automatic” for time adjustment (I have the Garmin system with the SD card, and I’m actually using the latest Garmin maps rather than pay a ridiculous amount to update the AML ones).

If I select manual time adjust I can adjust to BST and both the digital and analogue clocks move in sync. As I hadn’t been using the satnav I wondered if it needed to be used to pick up the satellites before it would know the correct time so I went for a little drive, used the satnav to navigate home so I knew it had a fix from the GPS satellites, then set the clock to automatic adjustment and it promptly went back to GMT.

I’m sure this is the first time I’ve had this problem; I’ve had the car over 2 years so it’s done at least 4 daylight saving adjustments and I’ve always let it set to “automatic” and let it get on with it. Anyone offer any clues? Where does the Garmin system get its time signal from, and can I tweak anything to get it to recognise BST?
